A BLUE RIDGE CHRISTMAS

The guys will present A Blue Ridge Christmas in Valdese on Saturday, November 30 at 3pm at The Old Rock School. Tickets are $10 at the door or they may be purchased in advance at East Burke Pharmacy, 300 Main Avenue West in Hildebran. The program will consist not only of Christmas songs but some of your regular favorites along with a few that may be new to you. Come join us! 

The holiday season isn't as joyous for some as it is for others. It can be particularly painful for those who are residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Sometimes forgotten by their surviving family members, these individuals may spend Christmas alone or with other elderly people who they've known only a short while. While we can't replace their families, we can offer perhaps a small glimmer of hope and happiness, even if it's just for an hour or two. During the month of December, we are devoting every open schedule day to presenting our Christmas program to one of these facilities. During their active years many of these folks, often sacrificing their own comforts, gave unto others. We are in a position to give back with the goal of making what may be their darkest hour a little brighter. Our community outreach program isn't limited to the holiday season. We try to take our act to senior groups whenever time allows.
